GENEALOGY - FAMILY NAMES

As referred to elsewhere in our site, for a student of family history to find an old postcard either sent by, or addressed to an ancestor, must be priceless.
You would hold in your hand a microcosm of information.... name, address, location at the time of posting, not to mention the nuggets contained in the messages!

As we embrace the close links with genealogy, on this page you will find a taster of some of the names in the store.  Apologies if the card has already been sold... we cannot guarantee indefinite availability.

You can search our store for names -  make sure you use the option to include
'search within description' . Surnames are listed in categories across the store, but it's a recent initiative for us so we're still building it up. Most are on the backs of cards valued for their view and are in our main listings..... for others, we have opened a brand new category:

GENEALOGY - postcards listed purely for their addressees not their view.  All are priced at £3.
Not many in there yet, but keep checking - we will add to it as and when we can. TUCKER.jpg These are cards which don't have valuable vintage views on the other side, but may fulfill a different purpose
- tracing your family tree.

See below for the link!

If you see one you wish to enquire about, on this page, click the email icon!

REMEMBER!!
Don't just search the Genealogy section of our site as we are adding surnames to ALL categories of our site. Use the main store search and remember to use the Search Options box and click YES to 'Search within descriptions', adding in your family name.

Intriguing message on card written in 1919, addressed to H Tucker, Malvern Wells:

"Sir, I have a daughter going 15 as I shall be very glad to get out, she is a big strong girl but I am very sorry I don't know where you live, could you come over any day and see me and am always at home, but .... (illegible)... and you could see her.  I am sure you would like her"
